Fundraising

The backbone of ALDAG’s fundraising since its inception has been the generosity of friends and contacts of the Trustees. Local churches have also been very supportive, with both funds and the provision of premises. County and District Councils have played their part as have other local fundraising charities.

ALDAG is indeed very fortunate in having great support from the local community and its fundraising is therefore conducted on two levels. Firstly we have events organised and run by ALDAG and its members. Secondly there are events run by other people to raise funds on our behalf.

Amongst those run by ALDAG are the annual favourites such as the quiz night and our participation in Ashtead Village Day, together with "one offs" like the fabulous 60's dinner and dance, an excellent curry night and a golf day.

However the funds are raised, awareness of ALDAG's principles and objectives are also made known and on top of all this we have great fun. So, whenever you have an opportunity to take part in an event run by or on behalf of ALDAG please give it your wholehearted support.
